About this Training
Most clinicians believe in journaling.
Few have been trained to use it effectively.
Instead of sending clients home with vague suggestions to “journal more,” you’ll learn how to use targeted, intentional journaling methods that improve emotional regulation, deepen client insight, and increase follow-through between sessions.
This training bridges the gap between insight and action—giving you tools your clients will actually use.
By the end of this training, you will be able to:
- Identify evidence-based benefits of journaling for anxiety and stress reduction
- Differentiate between multiple therapeutic journaling approaches
- Introduce journaling to clients in a way that increases engagement and reduces resistance
- Apply structured journaling prompts and interventions in clinical practice
- Recognize risks, contraindications, and ethical considerations
- Create simple, effective journaling plans tailored to client needs
This course is designed exclusively for licensed mental health professionals, including:
- Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists (LMFTs)
- Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs)
- Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs)
- Psychologists
